Music in the Barns concerts transform the urban industrial Wychwood Barns Mainspace into Toronto’s newest “out-of-the-box” concert hall. The heritage site’s first-rate acoustics serve as the backdrop for evenings of chamber music performed by cutting-edge musicians from Toronto, Montreal, Boston and New York City.

Having garnered an impressive reputation for their bold mix of traditional classical and new composition, Canadian and abroad, Music in the Barns performances have presented the Toronto Premiere of Richard Reed Parry’s (Arcade Fire) String Quartet, Heart and Breath, the World Premiere of Toronto composer Rose Boltons’, Coming of Sobs and recently their first World Premiere commission “all that is solid melts into the air” String Quintet by Scott Godin.
