The Canadian Music Centre’s festival New Music in New Places presented musicinthebarns an ideal opportunity to stage an all night rave—this at a trendy cross-fit gym housed in a cinder block shed—where, for our own performance, we presented string quartets by three of our favorite contemporary Canadian composers, Rose Bolton, Scott Godin and Richard Reed Parry.
